Educational Therapy in West Los Angeles

From the Heart Learning Solutions provides dynamic, engaging academic intervention for
students with learning disabilities and other learning differences. I work with students to
find what sparks their curiosity and brings them joy, then use that spark to address the
underlying causes of academic struggle.

What is Educational Therapy?

Educational Therapy is 1:1 intervention for students that seeks to improve academic performance by increasing self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-advocacy.  Educational therapy differs from tutoring in that tutoring typically addresses specific subjects, while educational therapy addresses the subject difficulty through the root cause.

How Can I Help?

I work with students with learning differences, learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders who struggle within these areas:  Reading, Writing, Math, Organization, Study Skills and Self-Confidence.  I focus on the underlying neurodevelopmental area where the struggle is occurring.

My areas of expertise include:
ADHD · Nonverbal Learning Disorders · Autism Spectrum Disorders · Dysgraphia · Dyslexia · Apraxia · Executive Function

I completed my post-graduate certificate in educational therapy at California State University, Northridge.

I am passionate about creating an environment where students are engaged and inspired, and I work closely with parents, teachers and caregivers to build strategies that are optimal for learning.

The first step is to sit down for a consultation with the parents.  The initial consultation begins the path towards helping your child in becoming a successful, independent learner.

Targeted Academic Support

I work with students to discover the underlying causes of their academic struggles and then, ultimately, to become successful and independent.

Case Management

Most likely, your child already has a great team working for and with them. Through the case management process, we collaborate and draw upon each other’s experience. Essentially, I bring the team together to collaborate in order to maximize the student's learning potential.

Parent Coaching

I consult with parents to be able to smooth out and simplify academic and other challenges in the home.

Session Options

I offer in-office, in-home, and virtual learning sessions to best accommodate your child and your schedule. Each type of session has different advantages, and I will help you decide what the best option will be.
